Dr. Craig Widener
Dr. Widener prides himself on providing a different kind of dentistry to his family of patients in Bowdon, Carrollton, and the surrounding areas. It starts with gentle, compassionate care that’s thorough, comfortable, and friendly.
As a Carroll County native, Dr. Widner’s education started at Bowdon High School before he continued on to the University of West Georgia and the Medical College of Georgia where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine. While attending school, he was the recipient of the Academy of General Dentistry award for restorative treatments, the Dolly Harnden award, and he was also inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
After completing his schooling Dr. Widener started working with a practice in Carrollton where he was able to hone his skills and continue to gain invaluable experience. Dr. Widener opened his very own family dental practice in Bowdon in March 2001, before moving to a new, completely renovated location in April 2015.
When Dr. Widener isn’t at the office helping patients, he remains committed to advanced training and continuing education — in all areas of dentistry. He’s a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Widener is a certified Solea All Tissue Laser provider and is proficient with computer-aided design lab technologies along with implant design and placement.
Outside of the office, Dr. Widener and his wife Kimberley are busy raising their family and are very involved in church activities and helping with the Bowdon Main Street organization. He also enjoys attending the kids’ events, archery, bow hunting, golf, and running.
